CINCINNATI — This Thursday, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein unveiled his second 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Based on it, the Bengals plan to choose Brian Thomas with Pick 18, doubling down at wide receiver.
“While the Bengals could use tackle help on the right side immediately, Thomas gives them a highly athletic inside/outside option with electric speed who can step in and play right away,” Zierlein stated. “He can also become the WR2, should the team ultimately need a successor to the franchise-tagged Tee Higgins.”
The 209-pound, 6-foot-3 receiver is ranked fourth among wide receivers and 20th overall on the consensus big board.
On paper, he would be an almost exact replica of Higgins’ skill set.
