Following their acquisition on deadline day, Andy Townsend believes Nottingham Forest has acquired a quality player in Ibrahim Sangare.
This morning, the pundit was a live broadcaster on TalkSPORT. The topic of the transfer window and Joe Worrall’s scheduled later-day appearance on the station came up.
Forest’s main summertime objective was Sangare. They had to wait until the day before the deadline, but they were eventually able to pass the Ivorian.
Brennan Johnson was sold by Forest to Tottenham on the last day of the transfer period. Sangare was able to cross the finish line thanks to the money raised, nevertheless.
Townsend believes that Forest has some highly talented players on their roster. He talked about Sanagre for the majority of the time and is quite fond of him.
He stated: “Me and Ally were talking about Forest,” live on TalkSPORT. They played exceptionally well, and they won against Chelsea.
“Also, they signed one young man, Ibrahim Sangare, I tell you what. He is a fantastic player and very good.
“Me and Ally have watched him a little bit with PSV playing Rangers recently and he’s been really good to watch.”
Townsend gushes about Sangare, a newbie to Forest.
It appears like Forest may have acquired a work of genuine merit in this case. Sangare might easily win over Trentside’s crowd.
Since 2020, the 25-year-old had been a member of PSV. Just days after assisting them in making it to the Champions League group stages, he quit the Eredivisie team.
Sangare and Forest have pulled off a significant coup. The Reds worried for a while that they could be let down, but he ultimately approved the deal.
The performances will now be the final arbiter. Sangare should be a perfect fit for the Premier League, and Forest is counting on him to put on some pretty strong displays.
