Without a question, Ipswich Town will play the greatest Sheffield Wednesday team they have encountered recently.

This is the claim made by Kieran McKenna, the manager of Tractor Boys, who is gearing up his team for a matchup with well-known opponents after the two teams engaged in a thrilling League One promotion battle and produced two close-fought 2-2 ties the previous season.

After one season, the two teams are competing at opposite ends of the table, with Wednesday sitting one point outside of the safety zones and Ipswich just three points outside of the top spot. Ipswich hasn’t suffered a home loss since August, but Wednesday manager Danny Röhl has made it clear that his team will aim for the full three points in Suffolk.

McKenna has expressed his admiration for Röhl’s impact on the team since his arrival in South Yorkshire. He believes the Owls are overvaluing themselves in light of their recent success and acknowledged their efforts in the transfer market. In the six-game form table, Wednesday trails Ipswich by just three points.

“They’ve certainly improved, there’s no doubt about that,” remarked McKenna. “They’ve always had good individual quality; in the last two windows, they’ve added more pace and one-v-one attributes to the team; and now, under the management, they’re playing an aggressive style of football and are incredibly well-organized tactically both on and off the ball. Thus, we anticipate playing the most formidable Sheffield Wednesday squad to date.

They have been playing well for a while now. They haven’t been among the division’s worst teams since October. We will approach the game with an open mind, honoring their squad and their superiority. Despite the fact that we all know we’re in for a

The Blues manager went on, “It’s going to be a tremendous game. They’re not going to come and just sit there and defend. They’ve played with an offensive mentality in almost every game since the new manager took over, so I expect them to do so again. Of course, we do that in every game as well.

“I predict that there will be two teams vying to be the bold, dominant squad. It’s a game to embrace and have fun with. To win both the performance and, hopefully, the points, we’re going to need to play well, work incredibly hard, and be very astute.”
