In a recent tirade, The Esk questioned 777 Partners’ ability to meet the Premier League’s requirements in order to complete their ownership of Everton.

This occurs following the Premier League’s conditional acceptance of the takeover, which The Esk characterizes as the league laying down the gauntlet to force 777 to demonstrate their mettle.

Given the prior worries, it was also questioned what would have changed in the near term regarding 777’s status to enable them to now satisfy the Premier League’s requirements.

The Esk ranting on his blog on March 23 said, “Well, it’s crunch time. Can 777 Partners fulfill the requirements? If so, why have these requirements not been satisfied considering the expenses involved and the serious harm Everton has endured recently?

What quick changes have occurred at 777 Partners to imply that the requirements can now be satisfied? By sending out the letter, the Premier League has challenged 777 Partners. fulfill our requirements; if not, there won’t be clearance.

“During the past six months, a lot has changed. Everton’s situation has drastically gotten worse, making it much more doubtful that they will be able to stay in business.

The environment in which Equally 777 Partners operates has evolved. Important personnel have left, and important financing partners have divested as we speak. Their capacity to fulfill the Everton ownership requirements seems to have substantially declined.

“One way or another, a decision has to be reached.”

Will 777 Partners complete their takeover of Everton?

As reported by Bloomberg, the Premier League granted conditional approval to 777 Partners ahead of the takeover, but this does not mean they have been given full approval to complete their acquisition.

The conditions surrounding the takeover approval are undisclosed as things stand, but given the group’s inability to prove their eligibility to the league in the previous months of ongoing discussions, it seems hard to believe they would suddenly be able to do so now.

Given the number of issues which have emerged surrounding the group and their takeover as a result, fans will be nervous to see what this agreement means for the future of the club after months of speculation and concerns.

Both 777 Partners’ and Everton’s financial standing have declined in recent months, as The Esk revealed following the announcement. It’s unclear if that lessens the likelihood of the trade, but it should be taken into account.
