When it comes to transfers, Nottingham Forest isn’t always successful, and it seems like they’re even less successful when it comes to loans.
Giovanni Reyna now enters.
It was Andrey Santos during the campaign’s first half. Before being brought back in January, the Chelsea midfielder was only active for seven minutes in the Premier League after being cut from the team.
Reyna appeared to be a great acquisition for Forest. The 21-year-old is predicted for great things by Football Manager players worldwide, and he has made 14 appearances for Dortmund thus far this season.
Reyna has played in two much-needed games for the USMNT over the last few days. He received an award last night that ought to be making Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo pause and consider.
Giovanni Reyna asserts honor while serving abroad
The USMNT experienced the sweet success of silverware last night, and it turned out to be a truly nice night. In the Nations League final, the USA defeated Mexico 2-0 thanks to a goal by Reyna.
With an overpowering effort from “downtown,” as the Americans would say, Tyler Adams broke the tie at the half. Then, in the sixty-third minute, forest standout Reyna added a second goal with a deft finish.
Reyna was chosen Player of the Tournament, according to Fabrizio Romano, who made the announcement following the game. In the semifinal matchup with Jamaica, he registered two assists, bringing his total from 10 appearances to three goals and five assists.
For the time being, Reyna will have been content to park club football. Since joining Forest in January, he has only played 39 minutes, and it seems like an odd addition.
Taylor Twellman has expressed strong disapproval of Reyna’s decision to join Forest. He believed the guy should have gone somewhere where he would have been selected, so he called it out right away.
Reyna needs to be given a Forest chance by Espirito Santo.
Reyna was given a start last night, and he performed admirably. With a goal of absolute class, he showed Forest what he is capable of when given a few games to practice.
Things don’t make sense at the moment.
Espirito Santo allegedly desired Reyna to be at Forest. Because of this, it’s incredible that the head coach is employing Divock Origi as a winger in addition to refusing to select the prospect!
There isn’t much longer for Forest to see Reyna. Just nine games remain for the Reds to acclimate the player to life in the Premier League after Dortmund extended his contract in January.
Reyna is at a loss on how to persuade Forest, even though the opposition is more formidable in the Premier League. In light of this, Espirito Santo must give Reyna a chance in light of her USMNT performances.
