Despite West Ham United’s thrilling comeback victory over Wolves on the road, David Moyes was not at all pleased with a few of his players.

After Pablo Sarabia’s penalty kick in the 33rd minute, Wolves took the lead. However, Lucas Paqueta’s penalty shot for West Ham in the 73rd minute gave them a response. And in the last 10 minutes, James Ward-Prowse would finish off the comeback for the Hammers.

Although David Moyes was happy with his replacements’ efforts, he issued a warning that the starting players who stayed on the pitch would still face criticism.

David Moyes discusses how West Ham United handled their encounter with Wolves
Moyes said, “If the players in the team think they’re there and that’s them, then well, they’re not,” in an interview with the team’s website. They won’t be playing if they can’t perform well.

“They have to play well and hold themselves to a high standard; things did get a little better in the second half.”

Although their comeback victory was inspiring, it is natural that he is not happy with the team’s overall performance at Molineux. Wolves dominated the first half thanks to the dull performance of the Hammers, who showed weak offensive capabilities and shoddy defense.

West Ham, nevertheless, demonstrated their ability to bounce back and win all three points away from home. With a game remaining against the Hammers, Manchester United is now one point ahead of Moyes’ team in sixth position following the win.

They will, however, be aiming for both a solid conclusion to their UEFA Europa League campaign and sixth place. There will be a two-leg quarterfinal match between West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen soon.
