Following their 4-0 loss to Manchester City, Roberto De Zerbi gave an explanation of Brighton’s playing philosophy and the future of their young player, “with or without” him.

At The Amex Stadium on Thursday, April 25, Brighton fell to Manchester City 4-0. With 76 points, the title-chasers occupy the second spot right now. They would, however, be ranked first in the league if they were to win the game at hand.

“I want to explain what I think my idea is,” the Albion boss stated at the press conference following the game. Our season-ending run to the Europa League was a testament to our extraordinary guts, courage, and spirit. Last season, we defeated Arsenal 3-0 on the road while playing man-to-man defense for the full ninety minutes.

The guts and mentality we shown were the keys to our Europa League qualification. Working with a large number of youth players will enable you to defend within the last 20 meters against City. However, you may still lose, or you could take some chances and work with Brighton’s DNA, attitude, and flair.

“Because Valentin Barco overlooked Kyle Walker during the build-up for the fourth goal. Carlos Baleba also made two blunders about his body type. Long-term analysis is required.

“I believe that working with this attitude and bravery in the future—with me or without me, I’m not sure—will be a crucial part of Brighton, especially with Barco, Joao Pedro, and Carlos Baleba.”

This season, will De Zerbi remain with the team? Tell us what you believe.
