It appears that Michail Antonio’s long-term replacement has finally been found by West Ham United.

Particularly under David Moyes’ leadership, Michail Antonio has established himself as an essential part of the West Ham team.

But Antonio is long past his prime at 34 years old. Julen Lopetegui must sign a top-tier center-forward if the squad is to advance meaningfully over the next several years.

It’s reported that the Spaniard is eager to replace the Jamaican international this summer.

Although Antonio has served the Hammers well over the last nine years, he will not be able to lead the line for us in the upcoming campaign.

And it appears that Lopetegui has a strategy in place to prevent that from occurring.

West Ham decides to replace Michail Antonio.
Although Antonio might still contribute to our club next season, his time as a top player is obviously running out.

Failing to sign a new striker is not an option. With that in mind, our latest transfer target is a really exciting one…

Simon Banza, a striker for Braga, is reportedly someone the Hammers are interested in signing.

With 23 goals and five assists in 40 games for Braga this season, the 27-year-old striker has been in incredible form (Transfermarkt).

At 6 feet 2 inches tall, Banza is a physical force to be reckoned with and excels at going up against other center backs.

He is a deadly finisher and has a plenty of pace. Without a doubt, the international from the Democratic Republic of the Congo would be a significant improvement over Antonio.

Banza is far more collected in front of goal and speedier than the Hammers hitman.

I believe West Ham will be on the correct road if the Braga forward ends up replacing Antonio.
