Targets for the summer transfer window have already been set by Arteta and the Arsenal recruitment team.
According to LondonWorld, Arsenal will be busy during the summer transfer window as manager Mikel Arteta attempts to build on the team’s successful Premier League season.
“But there are Euros this season and Copa America, so it might be a different summer.”
With younger profiles viewed as a “better fit” under the transfer strategy led by sporting director Edu Gaspar, Arteta has approved all targets, and his recruitment team has primarily looked at players under the age of 26.
A new, better deal from RB Leipzig is expected to be extended to Benjamin Sesko in the coming weeks. Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are among the teams interested in signing him.
Although Sesko has not made a decision regarding his future, it seems likely that he will leave Leipzig this summer if the proper offer is made.
Bruno Guimaraes and Martin Zubimendi are two midfield players that Arteta likes, and Ajax rookie Jarred Heto is at the top of Arsenal’s defensive shortlist.
“It’s the best case scenario,” Arteta replied when asked if he wanted to finish his business quickly.
“As coaches and on behalf of the players in particular, that is what every club wants. Next, for the environment and the team. Something extremely significant happens when you do that because it begins to give you momentum.
“But there are Euros this season and Copa America, so it might be a different summer.”
This summer, Arteta’s team will return to America for their preseason tour. They have scheduled matches against Manchester United and Liverpool for July 28 and July 31.
