Nottingham Forest hasn’t wasted any time in building up their team in preparation for a new season of Premier League competition.
At the City Ground, a lot of ground work has already been done in preparation for the busy summer ahead. The Reds’ final game of the 2023–24 season was only a few days ago, but they’ve already made some player decisions.
It was announced on Tuesday that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, defender Felipe and midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate will leave the club as free agents this summer. Forest also said the loans of Gio Reyna, Divock Origi, Nuno Tavares, Gonzalo Montiel and Rodrigo Ribeiro have come to an end, with no indication options over permanent moves will be taken up.
Meanwhile, Ola Aina and Willy Boly have both signed new deals. Their contracts were due to end this summer but the pair are now tied down until 2025, with the club holding the option of a second year in Boly’s case.
The contracts of Loic Mbe Soh, Scott McKenna and Harry Arter are also due to run out this summer. The Reds have not announced the trio will leave, but it is expected they will join the list of players to depart.
