Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson gave little away on who will be the club’s next captain following the exits of former skippers Luke Young and Ben Tozer.

As Wrexham prepare for life in League One next season, questions have been raised over who will be the Red Dragons’ next captain. When asked who could succeed Young and Tozer, who were released earlier this month, manager Parkinson kept his cards close to his chest.

Luke Young and Ben Tozer were both excellent captains for Wrexham over the past few years, the manager of the team stated to The Leader. They go on to their next professional endeavor, and we shall choose the new captain. It goes without saying that Mulls [Mullin] and James McClean have both donned the armband. We have some strong leaders in the group, which is crucial in any season, in my opinion.
