With mandatory minicamp approaching, the New York Jets have released an injury update on star running back Breece Hall that should be closely watched.

After an incredible sophomore campaign in which he recorded 994 rushing yards, five touchdowns, and 76 receptions for 591 yards and four receiving scores, Breece Hall is hoping to expand on that performance. With 1,585 offensive yards, Hall was fourth in the league behind Tyreek Hill, Christian McCaffrey, and CeeDee Lamb.

As per Randy Lange of the official Jets website, Hall has been absent from team practices due to “some lower-half stuff,” according to head coach Robert Saleh. Saleh said that the team isn’t “concerned,” but he wouldn’t say what the ailment is.

Even so, it’s worth keeping an eye on as the Jets get ready for minicamp. The Jets will need to take additional care to get Hall ready for 2024 if it has to do with his ankle or knee.

When Breece Hall tore his ACL in a Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos, his promising rookie season in 2022 came to an end. In seven games, Hall has 463 running yards and four touchdowns, putting him on pace to surpass 1,100 yards rushing in his rookie season.

Hall had an incredible sophomore campaign last year despite receiving little real help at quarterback. There’s no knowing how much stronger the Jets offense could be in 2024 with Aaron Rodgers expected to return to the starting position.

The Jets and Breece Hall should be contenders in 2024.
Even though Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyle, and Zach Wilson were forgettable quarterbacks last season, the Jets still managed to finish 7-10 in the challenging AFC East. The Jets should be legitimate title challengers in 2024 with the four-time league MVP expected to return.

With Hall, Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, and Mike Williams as its weapons, New York boasts a defense that is on the verge of ranking in the top ten. If Rodgers is healthy, the Jets ought to end their 14-year
