Dominik Livakovic is a goalkeeper from Croatia, and it has been reported that Celtic has increased their bid to €9 million (£7.6 million) in an attempt to recruit him.

The 29-year-old was linked to the champions last summer, but Livakovic ended up moving to Fenerbahce for €6.65 million, leaving his previous club Dinamo Zagreb. However, Livakovic—who made 40 appearances across all competitions last season—is once again being considered by the Hoops, according to AS Marca in Turkey. The 6′ 2″ stopper, who has 54 caps for his nation, just missed out on taking home the Golden Glove during the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Curiously, the report surfaced during a match between his nation’s top player, Nikola Livakovic, and Spain during Euro 2024. It also mentions that Ipswich Town, a team recently promoted to the English Premier League, is monitoring the situation. This summer, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking to replace shotstopper Joe Hart, who decided to conclude his great career. The position has been connected to a wide range of players, including Martin Dubravka, Peter Vindahl Jansen, and Daniel Peretz. The futures of Parkhead backup keepers Scott Bain and Benji Siegrist are far from assured.
