Due to the way Nottingham Forest conducts business in the transfer market, their roster of stars is always expanding. They received a total of 14 newcomers over the summer, providing Steve Cooper with yet another sizable financial cushion in the Premier League.

That investment has so far paid off, too, as they have won two of their first four games, three of which were against the traditional top six. The Midlands team, now in its second season, will be aiming for consistency as they seek to establish themselves as a regular fixture in England’s top division.

Given the influx of newcomers over the summer, it will be challenging to keep everyone pleased. One player has reportedly already lost his cool after being left out of Cooper’s Premier League team.

What recent news is there about Nottingham Forest?

Forest, who spent over £100 million in the summer, visited Stamford Bridge and gave an emphatic demonstration of just how good their new-look team can be. Anthony Elanga’s first goal for the team since joining from Manchester United helped them defeat Chelsea 1-0.

However, teams in the Midlands will have to battle without goalkeeper Ethan Horvath, who was left out of Cooper’s Premier League side, whether they are at their best or not.

Despite loan offers apparently coming in for the goalie during the summer transfer window, Alan Nixon claims that the former Luton Town loanee is furious over the choice.

Horvath will now have to wait until January to find a new home, and his playing time will be extremely constrained in the interim. It will be intriguing to see whether Forest approves the goalkeeper’s exit when the January transfer market does open.

Ethan Horvath should Nottingham Forest sell him?

Cooper appears to have no plans for Horvath given that the goalie was left off of his Premier League roster, thus a departure would be the best course of action for all parties.

The Forest manager currently has Matt Turner to choose from when it comes to the starting position in goal, and he will be expecting to see the former Arsenal player maintain high form for his new club.

Looking back at the previous season, it comes as a bit of a surprise that Horvath wasn’t given the chance to contend for the top spot at the City Ground. The goalkeeper spent the prior season on loan with Luton Town, where he was a crucial component of their final play-off success that resulted in promotion to the Premier League.

Even after making a mistake, manager Rob Edwards had nothing but positive things to say about Horvath and told Luton Today that “we’ll all support him as we support every one of our lads.” Horvath received a lot of acclaim throughout his loan stint with the Hatters.

“He’s amazing and psychologically strong, so for me, the goal counts, of course it does, but the part before that is what I’ll really look at and concentrate on. They shouldn’t even be receiving the opportunity.

“There is no issue with the fact that the mistake was made by a human being. For us, Ethan has been excellent.
