There appears to be an unusual situation at Newcastle United right now, as the club is closely linked to the departure of two excellent young players.

The other story that Elliot Anderson was offered up in exchange for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman in a player plus cash deal is probably also the result of those dreadful acronyms.

This is because of those stupid Profit and Sustainability Rules, which have caused so many clubs to consider selling promising young players this summer in order to offset larger purchases.
Newcastle is also forced to play about with ridiculous bids for players they could easily afford outright if these limits weren’t in place, all thanks to PSR.
