The Light Blues announced in an official statement on Friday, June 28, that the 34-year-old Scottish international had signed a new contract in Glasgow to begin her fourth season as a Light Blues player. Rangers Women has now revealed that striker Jane Ross has signed a one-year contract extension in Glasgow.

Despite missing a significant amount of the previous campaign, Ross managed to lead Jo Potter’s team to a cup double by scoring 13 goals and dishing out four assists in 23 games as they won the Scottish Cup and the Sky Sports Cup.

She declared, “I am over the moon, I am delighted to be extending my stay here at the club,” as reported by Rangers TV. It is evident that I have had a difficult couple of years due to injury, but I am truly pleased here.

“Last season, I was glad to return to the field and make a contribution to the team. This year, I’m looking forward to having a strong preseason and hopefully contributing once more.”

Will Celtic Women lose against Rangers Women in the Scottish Women’s Premier League championship match?
Ross may have had a terribly tough few years, but she proved last season when she was able to return to the team that she is a genuine difference-maker at the top of the pitch when she is healthy and on fire.

In the end, the Celtic and Gers lead the table by a narrow margin, and if Ross had been available for the whole season, her goals might have made the difference in the fight for the championship.

With some high-profile additions made this summer, Potter and her recruiting team wasted no time in restructuring the team and bolstering it. She will be expecting for even more success from her group the next year.

Between now and the start of the season, there will probably be a good number of additions made, and the Gers will be praying that no one tries to steal their best players.
