When it comes to signing players that are great value for money, it always helps to target ones who can play in a variety of positions. Considering that West Ham are desperate for depth, signing a versatile player could massively help them towards solving their issues.
Thankfully, when it comes to wingers, a lot of the players they’ve been linked with are ones who can do all different jobs. According to a report from Kicker, the Hammers have entered the race for another player who fits this description in Jacob Bruun Larsen.
Despite being used as a substitute for much of last season, Larsen still managed to impress during his loan at Burnley and scored 6 goals across just 16 Premier League appearances. The Danish forward is able to play on both wings, in the middle of the park and has even been used as a striker before. His passing is excellent and he’s also a massive danger from free kicks.
Even with his great performances in England, Hoffenheim are still willing to let him go but, unfortunately, West Ham aren’t the only club interested in securing his signature. Two of the club’s London rivals in Fulham and Crystal Palace are considering a move for the 25-year-old.
While it seems like other targets are ahead of him, he’d certainly be a valuable asset to have and could be great to have coming off the bench or providing cover. Unlike a lot of the recruitment team’s targets, he’s proven himself in the Premier League which could convince them to pursue him over other potential suitors in the long run.
