According to inFotblal.cz, Vaclav Cerny will have a physical on Thursday at Rangers before signing on loan from Wolfsburg.

On July 25, the Czech football website said that 26-year-old Cerny will “wear the jersey of” the Rangers in the forthcoming campaign after he made the decision to temporarily leave Wolfsburg.

The ex-Ajax winger is expected to move into Ibrox on “Friday at the latest” (26 July), provided he passes his medical.

According to reports, Rangers and Wolfsburg have reached an agreement on a straight loan, so there won’t be a chance to acquire the 17-time Czech international permanently the following season.

As the renovation takes form, Philippe Clement intensifies Rangers’ transfer efforts.
This summer was always going to be a busy one for Clement.

When important players like Todd Cantwell begin submitting transfer requests or when James Tavernier, your seasoned team captain, is also anticipated to depart, it doesn’t help [Sky Sports].

Even though Tavernier led the Gers to a league title and a European final and is now one of the greatest goal scorers in football history, he is a complete trainwreck of a defender and the team would be far better off without him. Still, there isn’t room at Ibrox for anyone who doesn’t want to be there.

Although it’s a tough choice to let go of players like this, Clement isn’t afraid to make the calls, which may easily backfire on him if the new season doesn’t go well.

Cerny is a really skilled player. He has nearly 100 Eredivisie games under his belt, one Bundesliga season with Wolfsburg, and 17 appearances and six goals for the Czech Republic.

The right-winger’s season wasn’t great last year, but it was evident that Wolfsburg didn’t think highly of him because of the 22 games he played in, 12 of which were starts in the Bundesliga, and his four goals.

Fans of the Rangers will likely expect to see much more than that.
