Paulo Bernardo’s permanent transfer from Benfica is almost complete, according to Brendan Rodgers, who also hinted at the possibility of an impending announcement.

Regarding the negotiations, Rodgers said he was hopeful that the agreement was getting close, and Bernardo will likely have a medical exam. Tuesday night reports said that this had already occurred.

As he is scheduled to return for a physical, Rodgers told Sky Sports, “Hopefully, it is just a matter of hours and hopefully everything will go well with that.”

Two additions to the Celtic team have already been made, but both have been in goal. The outfield has not been strengthened, and Bernardo does not enhance the starting lineup even if he manages to complete his move to Celtic before the flag is raised.

It’s a really annoying circumstance. The team had the ideal chance to include some fresh, top-notch personnel prior to the league season beginning because money was in the bank.

Fans are now anticipating a big deal in the last month of the transfer window.
