Tottenham winger Manor Solomon is undergoing his medical with Leeds United ahead of a loan move to Elland Road, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist reported via X on Saturday (24 August) that the attacker is completing his medical tests with Daniel Farke’s side before making the season-long switch to the Championship club.

Solomon had rejected offers from Getafe already this summer as his priority was to remain in England if he left Spurs before the 30 August deadline with a deal eventually being struck with the Whites.

Reports suggest that the winger’s move to Elland Road will be a straight loan deal, with no option or obligation to buy included in the agreement between the two clubs [David Ornstein, 24 August].

Will Manor Solomon exit Tottenham amid Leeds United transfer rumours?

While this deal may not be completely done and dusted yet, it seems as though Solomon may be a new Leeds United player sooner rather than later as the Whites’ continue their rebuild under Farke this summer.

New signings were always going to be needed before the 30 August transfer deadline following the departures of Crycensio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, but in the Spurs attacker, Leeds have found a gem.

On the face of it, Solomon seems to be far too good for the Championship. When fit and firing for Fulham and Spurs, he has shown that he is capable of starring in the Premier League, let alone England’s second tier.

The only frustration from Leeds’ perspective is that the deal is a straight loan with no permanent obligation or option included.

However, the two clubs have a good working relationship so there is potential for a permanent deal to be reached in the future, as was the case with Joe Rodon this summer.
