Diego Llorente, a loan player from Leeds United, is causing concern for Roma because they worry that he might be in for a “long injury” absence.

Sky Sports Italy, which Planeta Roma reportedly relayed, claims that the defender is undergoing tests after being taken off during the first half of the defeat to Genoa.

According to them, Llorente had to leave the field injured due to a strain in the flexor muscle in his right thigh, which ordinarily calls for a two-week recovery period.

To find out the “true extent of the injury” and how much longer he might be sidelined, additional tests are scheduled for the Leeds loanee tomorrow.


Roma’s management worries about a protracted injury since it would mean losing “one of the most important players” in Jose Mourinho’s team.
