Tyler Bertuzzi, who signed with the Chicago Blackhawks during the summer, is surely not charming himself to fans by criticizing the city’s iconic dish.

When you’re signed by a new NHL city, the first thing you want to do as a player is win over fans who expect bigger things to come. Tyler Bertuzzi, who signed a four-year, $22 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks over the summer, chose to take a different approach during the team’s training camp.

Bertuzzi was asked by reporters how he is adjusting to life in Chicago, as this will be his first season as a Blackhawk. Bertuzzi took the time to tell Blackhawks fans what he thinks about Chicago’s favorite meal,

Tyler Bertuzzi had a good offensive season last year, collecting 21 goals and 43 points for the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, his stint with the organization came to an end because Toronto couldn’t afford to keep him while also signing other players. The Chicago Blackhawks gave him just what he was seeking for at the time: an annual average value (AAV) of roughly $5 million. Bertuzzi will be able to play alongside rookie NHL prodigy Connor Bedard.
