Ramon Sosa came off the bench to equalise in the 70th minute, hitting an empty net off Jota Silva’s square cross after Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck had placed the hosts ahead despite Chris Wood’s early penalty.
Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off for a second bookable offence in the second half, and Nuno Espirito Santo will need other players to stand up in his absence the next time out.
By entering the market in January, the Tricky Trees may be able to add to their attacking options, covering and competing with Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
According to CaughtOffside, Nottingham Forest is ‘closely monitoring’ Galatasaray forward Baris Yilmaz ahead of the January transfer window. According to the report, fellow Premier League clubs Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the outstanding winger, implying that the club will have difficulties in pursuing the transaction.
It is reported that Galatasaray is looking for a cost of roughly €30 million (£25 million) for the 24-year-old star, although it is unclear whether any of the aforementioned clubs are willing to pay that amount.
CaughtOffside does, however, claim that Brighton want to offer roughly €25 million (£21 million) for the Turkey international after the turn of the year, which would be €5 million less than the Super Lig champions’ estimate.
Forest are now monitoring Yilmaz’s progress with Galatasaray and are intrigued in the Turkish youngster as a potential target for the upcoming transfer window.
