Since breaking his Achilles tendon in a 2-2 draw with Ipswich on February 10 of last season, the unfortunate Baggies forward has not played.
It was the opposite Achilles to the one he ruptured at Stoke in April of last year, but Dike has spent almost three years on the sidelines at The Hawthorns.
The 24-year-old American international participated in team training for the first time last Friday, but he still has five to six weeks to go before he finishes the requirements to be considered for a comeback.
