Crawley lost a home game for the first time since August at the hands of Wrexham, who ended their own winless run.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the owners of Wrexham, were not present at the Broadfield Stadium, but there were cameras there filming the sell-out premiere of the popular Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham.

After 13 minutes, Ollie Palmer, a former Crawley striker, gave the visitors the lead. He finished brilliantly for the first time using the outside of his boot.

After Danilo Orsi’s attempt was saved, Adam Campbell nearly gave the Reds an immediate equalizer when he hit the crossbar.

Then, captain Ben Gladwin had to leave due to an injury, but it didn’t stop Crawley from controlling for long stretches of time. They were playing more purposefully and with greater possession, but they lacked innovation.

After the break, Wrexham got better and put the hosts under a lot of pressure. The Reds attempted to strike them on the break but were still unable to produce clear-cut opportunities.

With 20 seconds left, Andy Cannon attacked Adam Campbell, who was thankfully unharmed and was able to continue. Wrexham was then down to ten men.

On a terribly frustrating afternoon, Crawley poured men at the goal in search of that elusive equalizer, but they were unable to capitalize on their additional man.

Wrexham managed to hang on for their first victory in four games, handing Scot Lindsey’s team their second straight loss. The Crawley players were graded as follows: Corey Addai (score of 7): Ollie Palmer’s outstanding finish left him stranded. assertive statement made in a corner. recovered well after the cross. Paul Mullin made a fantastic one-on-one stop against the striker before punching the ball beyond. Palmer made a good save as Wrexham took over in the second half. A markedly better performance. long-range strike late saved.

Will Wright (score of 8): Wright was Crawley’s best player and shouldn’t have been on the losing team. Orsi ought to have converted a wonderful cross in the first half. Just before the hour mark, another excellent cross was made into the box, but nobody could get a touch on it. weirdly booked

Dion Conroy – 5: After missing last week’s practice, he returned to the team and had a challenging afternoon. didn’t always make the clear pass, and his slow clearances alarmed the crowd. Several well-timed crunching slide tackles were made.

Six: Left of three CBs when defending, Laurence Maguire. His attempts at long through-balls didn’t quite pan out. was defeated too easily out wide on a few occasions and had one or two careless moments. Never always

Nick Tsaroulla – 6: Good early left-side move. Fans enjoyed it when he impressively defeated Paul Mullin in the air. By his standards, especially in the second half, it was very quiet. received a direct free kick on the edge of the box, but it was unsuccessful.

Jay Williams — 6: Made some strong interceptions and broke up plays well.

Aaron Henry (score of 6): This was the Charlton loanee’s second league start and a great opportunity for him to shine in Liam Kelly’s absence. Some great midfield twists, but they didn’t really change the outcome of the match. sent a long-range effort over the bar. A wasteful set piece in the final minute of extra time

Ben Gladwin – N/A: Rejoins the team after being absent the previous week. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes, I had to leave with a wound.

Adam Campbell: 7: Seemed like a genuine threat. So unfortunate that the Reds’ attempt hit the crossbar just as they were about to score an immediate leveler. Nice cross appeared to be a tap-in opportunity for Orsi, but the goalie was up to the task. Excellent tackling to thwart a perilous counterattack. lofted effort that nearly fooled the goalkeeper. Good run, but left in a mess after Andy Cannon’s challenge that resulted in a red card. Using a long distance shot, inches wide

Danilo Orsi received a rating of 5 after rejoining the team after missing the match against Doncaster. He had his first genuine opportunity when Wrexham scored, but the attempt was saved. He did well to position Campbell for the crossbar shot. Despite it appearing to be simpler to score, somehow managed to miss the goal. Second half is really calm.

Subs:

Klaidi Lolos (score of 7): After Gladwin’s injury, he was on the field quicker than he had anticipated. Some great link-up play and a willingness to take long shots, though not always the ideal choice. With strong outside-the-box effort, it was so near.

Kellan Gordon – 6: After entering the game in the last seconds, he made a few crosses from the right. successfully defended a late free kick.

Harry Forster – 6: After entering as a late substitute, struggled to have a significant effect.
