After agreeing to a new deal, JAMES JONES is thrilled to dedicate his future to Wrexham.
The midfielder has signed a contract keeping him with The STóK Cae Ras through the 2024–25 season.
Jones, who was acquired from Lincoln City in August 2021, will now remain with the Reds for at least a fourth season, with an additional year’s option.

To be able to prolong my stay is amazing, and I am extremely happy to have completed it. “Everything about the club is going the right way, and it is a pleasure to be a part of it.”
Jones played in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Crawley Town at The Broadfield Stadium, his seventh League Two outing of the year and third straight start.
Ollie Palmer’s incredible goal in the 13th minute gave Wrexham the lead, but midfielder Andy Cannon’s straight red card shortly after coming on as a replacement reduced Phil Parkinson’s team to 10 men midway through the second half.
The Reds managed to hold on for the victory, and Jones commended his squad for their tenacity in resisting the siege from the Red Devils by scoring an equalizer.
It was a difficult game, Jones remarked.
“We had to work hard, which we did, especially after we were reduced to 10 guys.
“Then, the momentum changes a little.
You know your teammates are going to be in the trenches with you, and we succeeded because we have an honest, dedicated crew.
The win followed two consecutive draws against Crewe Alexandra and Mansfield Town. Wrexham finished its three games against top-eight opponents unbeaten, moving up to seventh in the standings, four points behind Notts County.
Jones stated, “I thought we were deserving of the lead in the first half.
Ollie had a fantastic finish, and it was enough to earn three points.
“It was crucial that we prevailed, and there are many advantages to be gained from it.
We must continuously improve, and we can only hope that we can continue to win games and score goals.
It is up to us to do that because the league is competitive and if you tie together a run you go soaring up the table.
Tomorrow night’s rivalry match against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road and the EFL Trophy are Wrexham’s next priorities.
Whoever starts, Jones believes the goal is to record another victory. Parkinson, who seen the Reds defeat Newcastle United under 21s in their opening group encounter, has pledged to make changes.
