JUST IN: Wrexham pair available to face Crewe Alexandra as Parkinson drops selection hint

The Evening Leader reported that Ryan Barnett and Andy Cannon of Wrexham are available to play tonight.
Despite the fact that they are under league suspension, Wrexham can still use the pair. In the Papa John’s Trophy, they go to take on Crewe Alexandra, another League Two team.

Barnett, 24, has one more league match to miss after receiving a red card against the Railwaymen at the conclusion of the previous month. Cannon, meanwhile, was expelled from his most recent game against Crawley Town.

According to Parkinson, “We will rest a few players and give players much-needed minutes at Crewe,” according to the Evening Leader. We had a challenging week.

“It was a tremendously tough game at Mansfield, and the same again against Crawley. We played 11 v 10 for a lengthy period against Crewe and were fantastic. There will be many changes, but we have many possibilities.

Wrexham is going to alter

When Wrexham plays Crewe in the cup, they will use the opportunity to rest certain players. For the National League winners, the first few months of the new season have been quite busy.

Despite a few challenging afternoons, they have mostly acclimated well to life in the Football League. The Welsh team is seventh in the league and is qualified for the playoffs based on goal differential.

Parkinson’s team was giving up too many goals, but they have tightened up in recent games. They have now maintained two consecutively clean sheets.

Bryce Hosannah, Callum McFazdean and Billy Waters were all left out of their 22-man squad but can feature in the Papa John’s Trophy which is a boost. It gives them the opportunity to get some minutes.

Barnett and Cannon will also likely feature due to the fact they won’t be able to play this weekend. Wrexham face Salford City at home on Saturday as they look to keep their momentum going.
