CHIEFS, SAVE NOW Watch out for the Chiefs defensive ends and more when they take on the San Francisco 49ers. BLAIR KERKHOFF 6:30 AM ON OCTOBER 19, 2024 Felix Anudike-Uzomah has a chance to start against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday because Chiefs defensive end Mike Danna is out. Due to a pectoral issue, Danna will be missing his second game. Due to a calf injury, he also missed the Chiefs’ victory against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.

Danna begins with George Karlaftis on the other side when he’s well. The depth has been supplied by Anudike-Uzomah and Malik Herring. This season, with 84% of the snaps, Karlaftis had the most playing time among the position group. Danna comes in second at 56%, Anudike-Uzomah in third at 26%, and Herring in fourth at 15%. Cam Thomas, who the Chiefs acquired from the Arizona Cardinals in an offseason trade, is also expected to get increased playing time.
