Owners of Wrexham from Hollywood, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have spoken out about the team’s altercation with forward Billy Sharp recently.

WHAT OCCURED? Since the striker eliminated the Welsh team from the FA Cup, enraged supporters with his celebrations, and accused the club of showing disrespect after Sheffield United’s victory in February, Sharp and Wrexham have been at odds. The forward continued to criticize Wrexham, advising the Hollywood pair to “go make a documentary” about the heated FA Cup match and declaring his dislike for manager Phil Parkinson. WHAT THEY SAID: “I found it to be quite fascinating. 1 on 1 psychology was involved. Oh, we own you now, was how it sounded. You guys are outstanding; you’re a championship squad and finished second in the championship,” remarked Reynolds. “And we’ve already made this guy uncomfortable. It was absolutely great to observe how deeply we penetrated that man’s defenses.
McElhenney also appears to have taken pleasure in their confrontation. “We were living rent free in that motherf*cker’s brain,” he continued.
