Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Leicester City have signed Woyo Coulibaly in a transfer worth £3m. The documents are signed – He’s a Fox.

So far this January, Leicester City have been incredibly quiet. This is despite them being second from bottom in the Premier League table and in the worst form of any Premier League team.

The Foxes are the only team to have lost their last five Premier League outings. After the opening ceremony of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s tenure was met with positivity and great results, the Foxes luck has slowly petered out.

That said, Leicester fans should soon hear from the club about a new signing being made.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Leicester City have secured a £3m transfer

According to an update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Leicester City have now signed Woyo Coulibaly from Parma. The documents have been signed and completed and the full-back can now be considered a Leicester City player.

The reported transfer fee is around £3m. So, Leicester have scraped through with a transfer, even with the concerns of their PSR complaints. For only a £3m investment, this can only be good news for Leicester fans.

Coulibaly is 25 years old and he’s been playing in the Serie A this season, given Parma’s promotion from Serie B last season. So, he has already has experience at the top level.

Leicester fans will be most glad to hear that Coulibaly is a right-back. Therefore, the Foxes now have another option in this position to rotate or even replace the liability James Justin.

So far this season, Leicester have been crying out for a better option at right-back. For reasons unknown to anyone (probably Ruud too), Justin has kept his place in the starting lineup despite constant mistakes.

So, Coulibaly will arrive with a platform to improve Leicester and win the fans over instantly. There is a growing feeling that anything has to be better than watching Justin run around like a headless chicken.

Coulibaly is yet to be formally announced by Leicester. However, if Romano’s claim is to be believed (which his claims often are), then fans can expect the announcement anytime soon
