Ange Postecoglou, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has been named Premier League manager of the month for the third time in a row.

It is the first time in Premier League history that a manager has won a trophy in each of his first three months in charge. Postecoglou was appointed as Celtic manager in the summer and led Spurs to the top of the Premier League before their loss to Chelsea on Monday.

Spurs were the only team to win all three of their league games in October, but their unbeaten start to the season came to an end with the first game of November.

Winning three in a row is a rare feat in and of itself, having only been accomplished three times since the award’s inception in 2007. The first was Antonio Conte in 2016, followed by Pep Guardiola’s four-month streak the following year. Jurgen Klopp won three games in a row in 2019, extending his winning streak to six games in eight months.

The award is decided by a fan vote as well as a panel of experts.
