Tottenham Hotspur are now being linked with an incredibly exciting move for Barcelona winger Raphinha.

Spurs have been a team transformed under Ange Postecoglou, leading the Premier League table for much of the early part of the season.

Their form has potentially given Spurs the platform to make some incredibly exciting signings in the January transfer window. And according to Football Transfers, one player Tottenham want is Raphinha.

Tottenham now eyeing Barcelona winger Raphinha
Raphinha has had an interesting time in Catalonia. He has scored 12 goals and contributed 15 assists in all competitions. And he has come up with some big performances.

Raphinha.
However, he has perhaps not managed to become the superstar Barca hoped he would be. And with that, Football Transfers claimed that he has an asking price of £61.35 million (€70 million).

His stock has certainly not fallen since he went to La Liga. And that may explain why Tottenham are interested given that they were one of the sides who wanted the winger before he left Leeds in 2022.

Winger previously put off Spurs move by Antonio Conte
The Athletic previously reported that Spurs were thought to have made a player-plus-cash bid for Raphinha. However, the offer was rejected.

There was also a belief at Elland Road that Raphinha had reservations about signing for Tottenham while Antonio Conte was at the helm.

That was due to a concern that the Italian would look to play Raphinha as a wing-back. Of course, the wing-backs are seen as particularly crucial in Conte’s systems.

Much has changed at Tottenham now however. And if Raphinha signed for Ange Postecoglou, you would think that he would get the chance to become a key man as a winger.

Dejan Kulusevski has been good so far. But there is a place in that forward line for someone to come in in January and quickly make themselves indispensable to Postecoglou.

Raphinha has an ‘unbelievable‘ amount of quality. So if a deal is possible, it is something of a no-brainer for Tottenham.

It may be an opportunity that they simply would not have had had Conte remained in charge.
