After his injured knee was successfully operated on, Solly March promised to return “stronger than ever”.
In addition to sustaining some meniscus injury, the 29-year-old tore his cruciate ligament during Albion’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City in October.
The winger, who has three goals and one assist this season, underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear last month. On Friday, he posted on social media to confirm that his second knee operation went according to schedule.
The former Lewes player was also full of admiration for the Seagulls, who on Thursday defeated AEK Athens 1-0 to go to the Europa League knockout stages.
He stated on Instagram: “Operation number two went well, just as expected! Well done to the boys last night for making it to the knockout stages; amazing. They’re on their way to returning stronger than before.”
March, who finished the 2023–24 season with eight goals and eight assists, will probably miss the remainder of it due to a knee injury.
He has previously experienced knee problems. In February 2021, he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus, which left him sidelined for six months. Additionally, in December 2015, he suffered an ACL rupture, which required 11 months of recuperation.
