Beto has signed his contract to become an Everton player after passing his medical on Merseyside, according to talkSPORT.

The radio station reported via Twitter Monday night (28 August) that the striker had put pen to paper to become the latest arrival at Goodison Park this summer.

He had arrived in England over the weekend to undergo a medical with the Toffees ahead of this move from Udinese, and now the official announcement is all that is left.

Beto is set to cost an up-front fee of £20million with a few million more in “achievable” add-ons, and will join compatriot Youssef Chermiti as signings the club have spent money on this summer.

Over the line?

It sounds like any potential late pitfalls have been successfully navigated and the deal is sealed, which will put fans partially at rest.
