Leeds United, who have been playing brilliantly in the Championship under Daniel Farke, won 2-0 at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon to extend their winning streak.
The Whites are still seven points behind second-place Ipswich Town, who are playing just as relentlessly. Farke had to deal with a lot of changes in his squad, which resulted to an uneven August for Leeds. However, the German has the Whites performing as he looks to get the team back into the Premier League.
After their relegation, Leeds made many changes to their roster in the summer. Since several players are nearing the conclusion of their contracts at Elland Road, additional changes may occur before the completion of the current campaign. These 13 players, including those on loan, will depart Leeds in the summer unless they reach a new contract agreement with the team.
1. Sam Byram
The defender signed a one-year deal upon his arrival in the summer.
2. Ian Poveda
The forward joined on a permanent four-year deal from Man City in 2020.
3. Lewis Bate
Bate signed for Leeds from Chelsea on a three-year deal in 2021.
4. Stuart Dallas
The Northern Irishman joined Leeds in 2015, signing a three-year extension deal back in 2021.
5. Luke Ayling
Leeds triggered a one-year extension in Ayling’s deal in February, keeping him at Elland Road until the summer of 2024.
6. Jamie Shackleton
The player first joined Leeds aged seven and penned a four-year deal with the club in 2020.
7. Liam Cooper
The club captain signed a five-year deal in 2019. He is currently the Whites longest serving player.
8. Joe Rodon
The defender is on a season-long loan at Elland Road.
9. Jaidon Anthony
The forward is another on a season-long loan at Elland Road.
10. Djed Spence
The Spurs man is also on a season-long loan at Elland Road.
11. Robin Koch
The defender is on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt with his Leeds contract up at the end of the season.
12. Cody Drameh
The right-back is in the final year of his contract and will spend the remainder of it with Leeds’ Championship rivals Birmingham City. The deal includes an option for the Blues to make it a permanent signing, which would allow them to get ahead of any others looking to take him on a free next summer
13. Jack Jenkins
Jenkins is currently on loan at Scunthorpe United with that deal running until January 2024.
