Elliot Lee, a midfield player for Wrexham, claims he was verbally abused after inadvertently hitting a parked car; the midfielder has volunteered to cover the damage.

Consequently, what happened?
The midfield player used social media to tell his side of the Wrexham incident. After reportedly running into another car while pulling out of a parking lot in the Welsh city, the 29-year-old made a plea to his fans to track down the owner of the other car.

WHAT LEE MENTIONED
“Unfortunately, I think I accidentally bumped a parked car today amidst the chaos of Wrexham Costa car park,” he tweeted. It wasn’t as simple as just parking again and heading back, as anyone familiar with the chaos currently occurring in this parking lot would attest. Not only was I stuck in the thick of the bottleneck, but I also had no paper or pen with me. I made an unsuccessful attempt to inform the kind woman who was abusing me as she was snapping pictures from a distance. Please message me if she or anybody else knows whose car it was or if it was you. In his car, one of the boys was following me.

It seems that the Wrexham player is a better football player than a driver. In 21 League Two games this season, he has scored 12 goals, helping the Welsh club climb to third place in the standings as they aim for back-to-back promotions.

WHAT HAPPENS TO LEE AND WREXHAM NEXT?
When Lee’s Wrexham team plays Newport in League Two on Saturday, he will have moved past his incident in the parking lot. With one more game played than Phil Parkinson’s squad, Stockport County is now leading the Red Dragons by six points.
