We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as a new exclusive columnist. He will share his opinions on the Rangers’ injury status every week.

Dr Rajpal Brar has revealed that Tom Lawrence, a midfielder for Rangers, has been sidelined with a Grade 2 muscle injury. The injury expert says that because Scottish football will be out for a few weeks, the Wales international will continue his rehabilitation during the Christmas break.

According to Philippe Clement, who spoke with Sky Sports, the 29-year-old won’t be back until the third week of January.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his circumstances. He said:

“This appears to be a grade 2 out of 4 muscle damage, a partial tear, based on the chronology.

Details on the specifics of the injury are scarce, therefore it’s difficult to say more.

“Restoration of strength and mobility will be the primary goals of the rehabilitation process, which will eventually lead to the steady progression of sport-specific activities. He will continue his rehabilitation during the winter break, but he will miss a few more weeks of training.”

Due to his fitness concerns, the 29-year-old has only played the entire 90 minutes in two games this season.

Although he plays mainly as an attacking midfielder and has not yet scored, he has provided two assists.

Due to injuries, he had to miss nearly the whole previous season and was only able to play in five league games for the Bears.
