The manager has stated that Bertrand Traore and Calum Chambers are free to depart, but that arrivals and departures are contingent upon each other, and Villa must adhere to Uefa’s and the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
Villa is in second place in the league and has advanced to the Europa Conference League round of sixteen. Later this month, they will play Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth round.
Without any acquisitions, Emery thinks the players he currently has can compete on three fronts.

He declared, “I am extremely, extremely happy with the players and the players are progressing good.”
“The players have a really, really good commitment. Everyone has really excellent intentions and a strong willingness to work hard, and we have three competitions left until the end of the season.
“We have the players here, and we need to put on strong performances in our style.
“Some players, like Bertrand Traore and Calum Chambers, may depart, and in that event, we may consider adding one or two players to the roster. Right now, we want to support and assist the players we currently have.”
Asked about Villa’s stance in relation to FFP, Emery continued: “Of course, we have to accept the rules and have to accept, for example, if we want to sign someone we have to let one leave from our squad.
Financial Fair Play will then force us to embrace the guidelines and our true selves.
“With the owners and our work here, we will gradually raise and enhance our demands to strengthen the team every second we have.
“I have faith in our players; we are currently ranked second in the table, and we will advance to the FA Cup and Conference League semifinals.” We are becoming more confident, at ease, and stronger as we play.
