With just over two weeks left in the January transfer window, rumors about Leeds United and potential signings are beginning to circulate.
Journalist Seb Ecrivian Foot claims that West Ham defender Ben Johnson is the most recent player to be connected to the Whites. The story implies that the Whites have initiated discussions with the Hammers regarding a possible transfer. Leeds requires defensive reinforcements as Djed Spence rejoined Tottenham Hotspur and Luke Ayling moved to Middlesbrough.
David Moyes is rumored to be willing to let the young defender go to the Championship in order to give him the playing time he needs to develop at West Ham, where he currently sits behind Vladimir Coufal in the starting lineup.
Scottish team examines a Leeds player
Manager of Hibernian Nick Montgomery has stated that his team is considering recruiting 20-year-old Kris Moore, a defender for Leeds, who is now on trial. Moore recently participated in a winter break friendly match for Hibs and is currently attempting to make an impression in order to secure a loan agreement with the Scottish team.
“We’re taking a look at Kris Moore, the young defender from Leeds,” Montgomery stated. With Lewis Miller out and only having young Rory otherwise, I didn’t think we had enough players to attend the camp, so it was a nice chance to check him out at right-back. It was also beneficial for him and Kanayo to get some playing time.
