Sporting CP fans have been left stunned after a dramatic announcement claiming that head coach Rui Borges has decided to shut down the club’s football operations for two months.
According to the fictional announcement, the unusual decision would reportedly be linked to a major restructuring programme designed to give the squad time to recover, prepare for the upcoming campaign and allow the coaching staff to review every area of the team.
The reported shutdown would mean that normal football activities at the club would be temporarily suspended, with players expected to follow individual fitness programmes while Sporting’s technical department works behind the scenes.
