According to HITC, Crystal Palace may fire Roy Hodgson and hire Steve Cooper, the former manager of Nottingham Forest.

According to sources, Steve Parish, the chairman of Crystal Palace, is searching for Roy Hodgson’s replacement in order to make a change right away.

Crystal Palace could be relegated
Due to their struggles this season, Palace faces relegation to the Championship.

The Eagles’ lead over the bottom three is just five points. Hugo Ekitike was available for signing by Palace during the January transfer window, although they have lost their last three Premier League games.

Palace’s most recent setback was this past Saturday when they lost 4-1 on the road against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Steve Cooper might take the place of Hodgson, Roy
HITC is aware that Steve Cooper, the chairman of Crystal Palace, is now considering a management move with the intention of improving the team.

According to our sources, Steve Cooper is the clear favorite to take over as Palace’s new manager.

The 44-year-old Welshman is currently unemployed as a manager. After a string of disappointing performances, Cooper lost his job as Nottingham Forest’s manager in December.

Nuno, the former manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur, was named manager of Forest, who, like Palace, face relegation from the Premier League.

Parish is quite interested in Cooper, but the chairman of Palace is also considering other choices.

As far as HITC is aware, Palace is also interested in Julen Lopetegui. In the January transfer window, Palace signed Adam Wharton. After quitting Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2023, the former Real Madrid manager is prepared to take on management once more and is amenable to managing in England.

Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna have also made an impression on Parish. Despite their youth, both managers are excelling in the Championship.

Currently leading Ipswich Town is 37-year-old McKenna. With two points separating them from the final automatic promotion slot, the Tractor Boys are in fourth place in the Championship table.

Carrick, 42, a former player for Manchester United, is currently the manager of Middlesbrough. Eleventh in the Championship standings, Boro is just four points outside the postseason.
