A new member has been added to Nottingham Forest’s board of directors.

Simon Forster, a former chief executive of Selfridges, has joined the Reds’ board, the team said on Tuesday. Additionally, he has stated that he wants Forest to become “a world-class Premier League business.”

The club released a statement saying, “Simon Forster brings a wealth of leadership experience in the retail industry.” “Since joining the prestigious luxury department store Selfridges in 2012, Simon has been a key contributor to the growth of its international reputation.

“In 2018, Simon’s exceptional work earned him a position as CEO at Selfridges, where he will be responsible for managing a £2 billion turnover, 5000 team members, and strategic and creative direction.

“During his tenure as Customer Director, Selfridges underwent a significant transformation into a true omnichannel business, with a notable growth in digital sales.”

“Simon had a long history in the retail business before joining Selfridges. He was the Digital Director at Debenhams and had worked in a variety of buying capacities in the sector.

Simon presently serves in a number of chair and non-executive capacities for the international retail sector. His wide range of experience and vast network make him a priceless asset to Nottingham Forest.
