Will Boyle has asked Wrexham supporters to get the Racecourse Ground “rocking” in anticipation of Notts County, a rival team from the previous season.
Consequently, what happened?
Wrexham defeated Sutton United 2-1 on Tuesday night to snap a three-match losing streak. This weekend, they will play Notts County again in their rivalry. Last season, the two teams fought it out in a historic struggle for automatic promotion in the National League; Wrexham emerged victorious with 111 points, while County came in second with 107 and gained promotion through the play-offs. Boyle has therefore asked fans to crank up the volume on Saturday.
THOUGH BOYLE
Following the victory over Sutton, Boyle spoke to Wrexham’s YouTube page, saying: “It’s Tuesday, Saturday now. We now play on the next two Tuesdays. Many away games. Thus, it’s beneficial to the soul. On Saturday, we return to the Racecourse, where we hope to have the place rocking once more. Thus, we are aware that there is still much to be done. But for us, that was a successful outcome.”

This season, the two clubs have not been as close. With a game remaining, Wrexham is now in fourth place, six points behind leaders Stockport. Notts County, in seventh place, has suffered greatly, having lost their past five games.
Next?
This weekend, a win for Wrexham might propel them into the top three and automatic promotion slots. Meanwhile, a win for County would offer them a chance to climb up to eighth place, where they presently sit in the final play-off spot.
