West Ham United have agreed personal terms with Manchester United defender Harry Maguire ahead of a potential move to the London Stadium this summer.
Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire has finally accepted the contract offer from West Ham according to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, but the deal is being held up over his pay-off from the Red Devils.
Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to get the signing of a new centre-back over the line before the summer transfer window closes on September 1st.
And it seems as though West Ham are closing in on the 57-capped England international
Jacob Steinberg has very close contacts with Hammers owner David Sullivan, so what he says has to be taken seriously.
The Guardian journalist took to his personal Twitter account today to share the news that West Ham have now agreed terms with Maguire:
So as long as Manchester United and Maguire can come to an agreement regarding a severance pay, the 30-year-old should be a Hammers player soon.
