Jack Harrison to join Everton on a season-long loan without an option to buy; Leeds winger was a target for Aston Villa but they ended their interest; Harrison expected to be out for around three to four weeks; deal includes a release clause which can be invoked during loan spell.

Everton have completed a season-long loan deal for Leeds winger Jack Harrison.

The move is understood to be a straight loan without an option for Everton to buy the 26-year-old winger, but there is a release clause included which can be invoked during the loan spell.

Aston Villa enquired about a similar deal but pulled out because of Harrison’s current hip injury, which is set to keep him out for around three to four weeks.

The 26-year-old passed his medical with Everton on Sunday and becomes their fourth signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of forward Arnaut Danjuma, defender Ashley Young and striker Youssef Chermiti.

Harrison is the Toffees’ fourth signing of the summer, following the permanent additions of Yousseff Chermiti and Ashley Young, as well as the loan deal for Arnaut Danjuma.
