Udinese’s decision to sell Beto to Everton is today highlighted by the Italian media.

Newspaper Corriere Dello Sport features a story about the deal which is taking the striker to Goodison Park, and the consequences that will have in the Serie A side’s summer plans.

The newspaper points out that Beto’s departure had been ‘planned’ by Udinese, as their ‘strategy’ was to make big money with his sale and go for a cheaper replacement.

Their plan apparently went well, as they accepted an offer from Everton which is worth around €30m, with bonuses on top.

Following the handshake between clubs, it’s said Udinese gave the ‘go-ahead’ for the striker to fly to England. It’s claimed he should be travelling ‘in these hours’ for medicals and signatures.

Udinese were so prepared for his departure that they had already been in contact with Borja Mayoral’s entourage, and now accelerate the arrival of a new centre-forward to the squad.

Beto is leaving Udinese with 22 goals and three assists in 65 appearances for them. His arrival at Everton should be announced by the club at any time now.
