English Premier League club Nottingham Forest are set to send Leicester City a bid for Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Soccernet reports.

Ndidi got relegated with the Foxes following an abysmal campaign last season. The 26-year-old star used to be one of the best defensive midfielders in the world two years ago. He was even linked with a move to Manchester United at some point, but Ndidi has fallen off badly because of injuries and loss of form.

The former Gent man has just one year left on his contract at Leicester City, and he has refused to sign an extension.

This summer, Ndidi has been linked with Bayern Munich, Celtic, and Turkish club Fenerbahce, but nothing concrete has emerged from those talks.

However, in the latest development, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the Tricky Trees have already agreed on personal terms with the 26-year-old midfielder, and they are set to send a bid to Leicester City.

Ndidi is worth €25million according to Transfermarkt, so it is expected that Forest will offer something in that region. Leicester City may make some concessions to make the transfer happen so they will not lose him on a free transfer next summer. Both clubs have just three days to complete the deal because the transfer window closes on September 1st.

If Ndidi joins, he will become the fourth Super Eagles player at Nottingham Forest after Taiwo Awoniyi, Emmanuel Dennis, and Ola Aina.
