Tom Cannon’s transfer to Leicester City appears to be imminent as Enzo Maresca continues to bolster his attacking options.

According to a number of sources, City and Everton have reached an agreement on a price for the striker, with City reportedly agreeing to pay about £6 million. On the day of the deadline, Cannon is anticipated to spend time in Leicester finalizing his transfer and getting a medical.

The futures of Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho are undetermined at the time of the probable transfer. The former has been connected to a transfer to AC Milan, while the latter is reportedly drawing interest from the Premier League.

Maresca has acknowledged that he intends to bring in a striker before the transfer window closes, particularly with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in January in mind. Cannon appears to be the target.

Twenty-year-old striker Cannon, who has spent his whole career at Goodison Park, rose through the ranks to play for Premier League club Everton. He made his club debut in November of last year, and thus far this season, he has made one substitute appearance in the Premier League.

The forward made one appearance for the Republic of Ireland U21s, scoring in a March 2-1 victory over Iceland. He may not have been selected for the summer’s international games because the English FA is reportedly trying to persuade him to transfer allegiances to England.

In 55 games for The Toffees’ U21 team, he has 22 goals.

How was he last season?
Cannon was called up to the Everton first squad after grabbing attention with seven goals in 11 Premier League two appearances the previous season. He participated in the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup, and twice in the Premier League as a replacement.

Additionally, he had five goals in five appearances for the Everton U21s.
