With Elliot Embleton’s arrival on the final day of the summer transfer window, Derby County completed their business.

With the addition of the midfielder from Sunderland on a season-long loan, head coach Paul Warne had already brought in 11 players this summer.

Additionally, the Rams were able to hang onto Max Bird despite Hull City’s interest, while Brighton sought and failed to find a buyer for defender Eiran Cashin.

The Premier League team and Derby met one more yesterday to discuss the situation, but they were unable to come to a complete understanding, therefore the Republic of Ireland international will remain where he is until at least January.

With their summer acquisitions, Derby now has a 25-man squad for the remainder of the season, which will undoubtedly be reevaluated when the window reopens in January.
