Daniel Farke claims that they were frustrated that they couldn’t score since they anticipated Sheffield Wednesday to be a “deep-sitting” opponent.

Saturday at Elland Road, Wednesday did well to hold Leeds at bay. The expensively assembled Leeds team was unable to get past an impervious Owls backline that was searching for their first point and clean sheet of the year.

Although Xisco’s team was unable to earn all three points, they should be proud of their efforts in the 0-0 draw, which helped them move up the Championship standings shortly before the break.

Farke thinks that the Whites generated enough offense to earn all three points at home, as was predicted.

Following the game, he told the reporters, “I feel like it’s usually the same story in the first home games of the season, talking about how we dominated, created more than enough, and led every statistic.

“Our main emotion right now is disappointment. Today’s opponent was supposed to be extremely deep-seated, committed to blocking every shot, skilled at game management, and a time-waster. The first objective’s necessity was discussed.

“To win the game, my teammates generated more than enough offense. One-on-one situations included Georgino Rutter, Joel Piroe, Cree Summerville, Rutter again, and Luke Ayling’s free header from six yards out. I could continue. Normally, winning this game or two is sufficient, but it can be challenging if you don’t score the opening goal.

After the break for international play, they play Ipswich Town on Wednesday.
